Brake Lights and Switch

The system is quite conventional on all models. The switch unit is mounted on the master cylinder and is approached from below the car.
Metal fatigue eventually causes the switch to behave erratically, but as it can be completely disassembled it is possible to overhaul it.
The brake lights are each 22-watt filaments mounted in a 22/5 bulb for the stop tail light function in the rear lights. Many owners have changed the rear light unit mainly to conform to modern practice of an orange lens for the indicator. This started when the cars were new and
