Accelerator Pedal & Linkage, Hand Controls for Carburettor
Tav. 17 Series II Cars

NOTES:
The linkage, Bowden cables & all moving parts must be kept well lubricated, & the springs in good order.
The pedal cross-shaft (#1 in Tav. 17 SII above) is under the floor & is likely to seize if it is not maintained. The addition of an additional greaser is desirable. This can be done by blanking off the inner end, drilling two holes in the shaft in line with the alloy bushings (#14 & #15), & fit a grease nipple to the outer end, having packed the tube with grease.
The hand throttle & choke control, which are most useful, operate a warning light on the dashboard.
The system shown in Tav. 17 above is almost identical to that for the Series I cars
